when Bill Cosby and the kids "sang" a song and one of the lines was "I gave you 8 children now you wanna give 'em back". Can anyone tell me the name of that song and who does it? Thanks

B.B King - How Blue Can You Get

(a.k.a Downhearted)

"I gave you a brand new Ford

and you just said I want a Cadillac

I bought you a ten dollar dinner

You said Thanks for the snack

I let you live in my penthouse

You said it was just a shack

I gave you seven children

and now you wanna give 'em back"

B.B King was a guest star on that show and Roody's friend Kenny ("Bud") was singing it.

BB King - How Blue Can You Get. This along with Stormy Monday is my all time favorite blues song. There is a great live version of this on BB Kings Live At The Regal

It is one of my favorite blues songs from around 1959, its called "Night Time Is The Right Time" by Ray Charles. I have the record, trust me this is the one you want. I remember the episode well.
