Agree on Buddy Guy's for blues and food, my favorite for sure. Another nice place north of the city in Evanston is Bill's Blues, small and intimate. Lots of places to eat there too. Kingston Mines on Halsted St. is also a standout.

all these guys are right B.L.U.E.S. on Halstead and Buddy Guy's are great. A couple Other places you might want to try are the Harlem Ave. Lounge and Fitzgerald's. Both are in Berwyn. Harlem Ave. is a really small place they get less famous artists mostly but the cover is usually like 6 bucks. Fitzgerald's is not officially a Blues club, they get all different kinds of music, but they are partnered with the Wishbone Restaurant which is amazing and is seriously the best place to see music in Chicago. You can usually find a couple of blues show per month there.

the only disadvantage to Chicago is the site visitors and the cost of residing is extreme. those are problems however in any great city. Chicago has large places to devour, entertainment, superb museums, the lakefront is superb, seashores, carrying venues (relatively the Bears) and a good public transportation equipment. Like everywhere in the midwest the components adjustments are familiar and oftentimes. Spring, summer season and fall are extreme high quality and it does attain a hundred stages now and then. in the iciness that is chilly and be nicely below 0. i do no longer understand if that is worldwide warming or what however the winters recently have not been as chilly or as snowy as they use to be. opposite to simple perception in the time of something of the country, Chicagoans do no longer stroll around with weapons blazing.

It's Chicago, isn't there a blues place on every corner?

Honestly, hit up Buddy Guy's Legends!

B.L.U.E.S. on N. Halsted

Buddy Guy's Legends (has good food)

Neither will be "quiet"! B.L.U.E.S. is tiny, so could be intimate.
