Could it be Love In Vain Blues, by Robert Johnson? It was also covered by the Rolling Stones.

The title is 'Love In Vain' by Robert Johnson (1937); -song/title as inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame-. (the sad refrain is- "All my love's in vain"). Original version may have been Yellow Dog Blues(WC Handy).
