don't listen to heavy metal unless u want to give urself a headache for life. Listen to All-American Rejects and Green Day and people of that nature. For the blues, probably Aaron Neville or B.B King possibly Corinne Bailey Rae

Please clarify if you mean writing them or listening to them. Listening: tune in to 1.FM Blues on iTunes internet radio for some kickin' blues-rock - its what I usually listen to.
