Hello Yahoo!
I've been working on a "frankenstrat" which used to be a starcaster.. yes STAR not strat =P Anyway, Im a Blues/Hardrock/Metal guitar player. I need some guidance where I should look in the field of pickups. I was considering Malmsteens YJM pups, or maybe a Satriani pup, and mixing em around. Anyone have suggestions for a pickup that would fit my style?
Thanks!

Check out the Gibson 'Dirty Fingers' Humbucker

My friend just picked up an Epiphone 'Prophecy' SG loaded with them, and they sound fantastic!!

My all time favorite though is the Gibson P-90, stacked humbuckers - like the ones in my '67 ES125 semi-hollow.

I built my dad a strat for his birthday, If I made another guitar I'd use the more expensive "lipstick" pickups like on SRV's charlie

Active EMG's. 81 at the bridge and a 60 or 85 at the neck. They will handle anything you want play.
