Hello there,

My main gear set up these days is a 1985 Fender AVRI 57 surf green Strat into a Fender 63 reissue reverb unit and a Carl Martin surf trem pedal then to a modified Fender Champion 600 reissue. I use an external speaker cab with the Champion. I also use a custom modified Fender 60s reissue MIM sonic blue Strat with Fender 57/62 pickups. I have a new Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar. Last guitar I have out now is the 2006 Fender AVRI 62 Jazzmaster in surf green.

I do not gig these days; I play at home. That is my main gear rig. Those are the guitars I play each day. I also keep a 1986 Fender AVRI 57 Strat that I play in bed (unplugged) every night.

I do have other gear, but don't use it much here in the house. I have my 65 Fender Showman amp and 2x15 cab (loaded with JBLs) set up (both recovered in blonde tolex) and the Fender 59 reissue Bassman set up. I will play those on occassions. Sitting off to the side are my 69 Fender Dual Showman Reverb with a 2x15 cab (loaded with JBLs), a 72 Fender Twin Reverb, a Traynor Classic Valve 40, a circa 78 Marshall Lead combo, a new-ish Marshall Class A head with a 1x12 cab (Emminence loaded), a B-52 head with a 4x12 cab (loaded with a pair of Emminence and a pair of Carvin Bristish Series), a Line 6 Spider 150 watt 2x12. In the other room I have a 79 Fender Stratocaster, a 1986 Fender Japan Stratocaster, a 1983 Fender AVRI 57 Stratocaster, a custom built surf green Strat (89 Fender American neck on a Mighty Mite swamp ash body) with Fender 57/62 pickups. a 1996 Fender American Stardard Strat in sea foam green, a 2003 Fender American Standard Strat in surf green, a few MIM Fender Strats and a 92 Fender HM Strat. I don't recall off hand what other guitars are in the other room. There is a couple boxes of pedals that I seldom use.

BQ? I used to play jazz trumpet. I have played the piano, uke and saxophone. No do not play any of those these days. I do have a cheapie Beatle bass that I will play on rare ocassions.

I use a POS Ashland acoustic guitar that I bought off a buddy for $25. The case was mold-ridden and the neck has been broken and glued back into place.

I also own a couple POS electric guitars I bought online.

I too play harmonica. Chromatic and diatonic. For these I use the amp that is pictured, as well as the old 70's Mouses. I use an SM58 microphone, as well as an SM588 and some junk cables. No pedals.

I am a busker-at-heart. That is all I ever wanted out of music so, lugging gear around isn't something I feel like doing.

My main guitar is a PRS CE24 (made in 2005, I believe), and I use an Epiphone '58 reissue Explorer for backup and alternate tunings. All stock, though I want to replace the pickups in the Epiphone eventually.

My amp is a Randall RG50TC; nice 50 watt tube combo with some useful features that won't break the bank. I like to run it through two Eminence speakers: a Screamin' Eagle and a Wizard; the individual characters of the two speakers blend together really nicely.

As far as effects, I've got a Morley Tremonti Wah, Boss CE-5 (chorus ensemble), Boss PH-2 (phaser), and a Joyo JF-08 (Great delay pedal for the money). I also have a Joyo JF-11 (Equalizer) which I use to boost my mids a bit for solos; really helps when I need to cut through the mix in a live situation.

BQ: I play a bit of bass on the weekends with my side band, but that's about it.

Over the years, I've been through quite a bit of gear. As I've gotten older, I have held on to the pieces that have the most value and play the best.

I've settled on the four guitars pictured in this photo. (I'll let you have some fun figuring out what they are) (:

For amplification, as a die-hard Fender/Marshall guy most of my performing life, I now use two Category 5, 50 watt 2x588 I amps (Andrew). You can review Cat 5 amps here:

I won't bore you with all the other miscellaneous stuff laying around the studio. Too much to mention actually.

BA: Bass, Keyboards and brass instruments.

Over the years I've pretty much settled into my Godin XTSA running through a Roland GR30 synth, most of my amp and PA are Kustom, wont bore you with specs. my go to acoustics would be the Guild D40, or Seagull Entourage CW, my only keyboard is a Roland EXR5 s, as far as harmonicas, my Hohner 364/24 C and Echo Celeste G seem to get played the most.

Make up some excellent sounding ballad (without any phrases). Then tell a lady when your to your second date along with her you made it only for her and title it after them. Sure fire option to score.....
