alright, im having the hardest time trying to find a cd that my mom used to play when i was a kid every morning before school. i was hoping somebody would know what i was talking about. i asked my mom and she said it had bonnie raitt in it but she was singing with another woman. the entire album had a real blues feel to it. nothing was to pop or rock, just strictly guitar, drums, and vocals. i want to say maybe it was ruth brown singing along with her but after doing some research i couldnt really find and entire cd they did together, just a couple of singles. oh and if it helps, the last time i heard this cd it was around 1994-1996. so perhaps it came out before that? i really hope someone can help me. i would LOVE to hear it again. thanks for reading

Hey now Ashley. I'm a big fan of Bonnie's (like your mom) and don't recall any collaboration cd per se, but I think you are thinking of her Road Tested cd that came out in 1995. She had guests like Ruth Brown (and others) on that one. Here is a link for you to read. Hope this helped :)

Are you perhaps thinking of Sippie Wallace's album Sippie? Bonnie played on that and toured with Sippie, who was a mentor. You can also try Katie Webster's Swamp Boogie Queen or Ruth Brown's R & B = Ruth Brown-all fit within that time frame. I don't know of any collaboration CD, which would mean attributed to both people, but Bonnie has played more on other people's records than she has on her own.

Wow, that's really hard to say, because Bonnie Raitt has had a long career and has performed with almost everyone in the music business at one time or another.

I'm sure you can find a discography of all her recorded music with a couple of minutes of searching online. Then look through it and see if any song titles ring a bell.
